Elected Officials Roundtable PCC (Quorum)

Event Date:
Tuesday, August 3, 2021 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Location: TBD In person or Hosted by Bozeman WebEx.

The Triangle Community Plan identifies continued communication is an important component of implementing the Triangle Community Plan and identifying opportunities to improve coordination across jurisdictions. The following is from Page 9 of the plan:

The PCC recommends the Triangle Community Plan be implemented and supported by

the following communication efforts:

• Annual Planning Board Roundtable with planning board members from

Bozeman, Belgrade, Gallatin County, Manhattan, Three Forks to provide interjurisdiction

communication on activities and coordination opportunities;

• Elected Officials from Belgrade, Bozeman and Gallatin County host an Annual

Land Use Roundtable to discuss projects, issues, legislation, affordable housing

concerns in the Triangle, and related issues;

• Capital Improvements Plan and Infrastructure Plan Annual Roundtable, where

staff and elected officials from Belgrade, Bozeman and Gallatin County review

plans and update maps and / or annexation zones;

• Regular communication between school districts and local governments

regarding school siting growth patterns; and

• Coordination on future Metropolitan Planning Organization (anticipated after

the 2020 census).

The Triangle Community Plan was developed with a focus on coordination between

jurisdictions and to provide a seamless transition between existing plans necessary to

achieve the vision. It does not intend to abrogate the growth policies of Gallatin County,

Belgrade, or Bozeman, or adversely affect the existing neighborhood plans and zoning districts.

Agenda will be focused on action opportunities and will be finalized 1-2 weeks prior to our meeting.
