If you or someone you know is in crisis, please call 988 to be connected to the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline or 911 if a person is in immediate danger.

When you call 988 in Southwest Montana, you are routed to the Help Center (based in Bozeman). They are one of three crisis centers in the state that answers Montana’s Suicide Prevention & Mental Health Crisis Lifeline (988). A trained crisis counselor answers the phone, listens to the caller, understands how their problem is affecting them, provides support, and shares resources if needed. They utilize the robust Montana 211 system and database to connect callers to community resources.
